Holiday homeowners in Spain, Italy and Germany expect a positive summer season despite the inflation and energy crisis that are affecting the vacation rental sector.

The rental portal Holidu surveyed 805 respondents - holiday homeowners in Spain, 969 in Italy, and 697 in Germany. The results show that those wishing to spend their vacations in some of these countries should also expect moderate price increases for tourist rentals.

According to the survey, 52% of Spanish owners expect to have more bookings than the previous year. Rising prices for electricity, heating and hot water have made holiday homes more expensive, which is reflected in the fact that 48% of Spanish owners expect to increase their prices this year.

However, 39% of those surveyed responded that the increase in tourist rentals will be less than ten percent, and only 0.1% will raise their prices more.

Nearly 60% of Italian and German hosts will also raise prices. However, the majority of owners will increase rental prices by less than ten percent.

Still, despite tourism rental price increases due to inflation, tourism continues to boom across European countries, and vacation rental owners are looking forward to a successful summer season.
