New York’s super flashy, boutique bicycle brand, No.22 Bicycles, has just announced a complete revamp of its Drifter line of gravel bikes. Known for their amazing work with 3D printing and the ability to prototype quickly, the Drifter family gets new features, updated geo, more tire clearance, and new aesthetics.

Drifter X

Each No.22 is handmade in either stock or custom geometry in their Upstate New York facility. The Drifter Gravel family has three models: the Drifter X, Drifter, and Drifter Adventure. And, all of them get geo updates and more tire clearance.

Drifter Drifter Adventure

Both the Drifter and Drifter Adventure will get an entirely new 3D-printed yoke. Also coming this Summer from No.22’s sister brand, N0.6 Composites, a new suspension-corrected fork is included. This new fork will be available after-market, with a frame, or a complete bicycle.

Drifter X

Retail: $6,499 (frame, fork, Ti headset, and seatmast topper)

The Drifter X is a bike aimed at light gravel / all-road, and is perfectly suitable for non-competitive gravel riding, and that wider-tired “all-road” usage. The frame is said to stay “crisp” and responsive under power.

The Drifter X sports a slightly steeper seat tube angle. This allows for shorter seat stays, providing wider tire clearance. All of this, while maintaining the signature Drifter ride quality.

• Tire clearance: 42mm. 
• Fork: No. 6 Composites Gravel fork, 47mm clearance.
• Drivetrain: 1X or 2X compatible. A Wide drivetrain is not required.
• Max chainring sizes: 1x: 48T via SRAM Wide standard 2X: Tested for clearance up to 48/35 using a non-Wide SRAM crankset.
• Titanium seatpost or seatmast. 
• A fully internal cable routing option is available for $1,500. It includes an internally routed fork, No. 22 bespoke 3D-printed titanium stem, and titanium headset.
• UDH compatible.

Drifter

The Drfter was designed with contemporary gravel racing in mind. It rocks a suspension-corrected rigid fork, and is said to deliver a high level of stiffness under power.

Add aggressive handling and maximum tire clearance, and you’ve got an Unbound race bike. The Drifter can clear 56mm tires with 5mm of clearance by utilizing No.22’s new 3D printed yoke. Even if you want to run 2x, the frame will still clear a 45mm tire with a front derailleur.

The shorter chainstays and moderate reach make the Drifter the brand’s flagship gravel model, which prioritizes speed and effective power transfer.

• Tire clearance: 56mm/2.2” using 1X drivetrains, 45mm with a front derailleur.
• Fork: No. 6 Composites suspension corrected, 430mm A-C. 47mm offset.. 61mm tire clearance.
• Brakes: Rear native 160. Front 160/180mm rotor.
• Drivetrain: 1X or 2X compatible utilizing a Wide drivetrain.
• Max chainring sizes: 1X: 46T via SRAM Wide standard 2X: 40/33 via SRAM Wide.
• Seat mast: Not standard, but available as an option.

Drifter Adventure

Retail: $6,499 (frame, carbon adventure fork, Ti headset, Ti seatpost clamp, and “all the bosses”)

Drifter Adventure means maximum versatility. Designed to be ready for any adventure, singletrack, or bikepacking trip, it includes a plethora of bikepacking mounts, is stable when loaded, and can tackle most mild singletrack.

No.22 uses tube selection, the optional front suspension, and clearance for over a 50mm tire to give the Drifter Adventure compliance for all-day rides. It also sports a redesigned 3D printed yolk, combined with longer reach and longer chainstays.

All of this positions the rider comfortably when the going gets rough.

• Brakes: Rear native 160. Front 140/160mm rotor.
