Miche Graff Aero 48 Rolls Faster Gravel Wheels for Slik & Teases Next-Gen Wilier Rave SLR

Miche is back with an all-new aerodynamic addition to their surprisingly affordable Italian-made carbon gravel racing wheel line-up – the Miche Graff Aero 48. The new wheels are wider, deeper, and faster overall, plus almost as light or lighter than anything else in their Graff gravel family, and yet they still are one of the most affordable. Ivar Slik gave them a racing debut at Unbound a week ago, where he also gave us a glimpse of an all-new as-yet-unreleased Wilier Rave SLR gravel race bike.

But first, let’s look at those wheels…

When we last caught up with Miche’s gravel wheels on one of Ivar Slik’s Wilier race bikes a few years back, they had just a couple of carbon options – either 30mm or 36mm deep. They’ve since 40 & 42mm deep version, and even lightened up the 36s. But for racers like Ivar Slik trying to push faster and faster, they wanted to develop off-road aerodynamics to a new level.

Enter the Miche Graff Aero 48.

These new wheels feature a 48mm deep blunt aero profile, a 27mm internal hookless tubeless bead, and a claimed weight of just 1525g for the wheelset.

The new aerodynamic Miche Graff Aero 48 carbon gravel wheels retail for 1300€. They are officially a MY26 product, so technically they won’t be available until June of next year. But it does seem that Miche already added them to their gravel product page, and suggests getting in contact with a local dealer bike shop to buy a set. So maybe they will be available earlier?

Details and even official photos on the next generation Wilier Rave SLR gravel race bike remain thin. But it does look like there is a 2-part focus on wider tires and improved aerodynamics.

Compared to the current Rave SLR, this new bike very clearly has more space in the fork around the front wheel for increased tire clearance. Plus, downtube and headtube shaping looks deeper and more aero.

Out back, there appear to be larger diameter seatstays, set more widely apart, but with more drop before they meet the seattube. The seat cluster joint also looks cleaner, with a smoother chamfered connection to house the hidden seat clamp as opposed to the boxier current setup. And lastly, it looks like the new bike will get a UDH, which thankfully has become quite standard.

That’s it, no more official info from Wilier. But they do say the new bike is coming in June, so we’ll keep an eye out for it.
