Helmet specialists, MET Helmets, have released a new trail helmet that promises “the perfect balance of quality and value for your riding adventures.” So, meet the new Terrae. It’s got advanced ventilation systems, has gone through rigorous impact testing, and uses a lightweight design.

MET claims that it offers the same level of performance and protection that you find in top-of-the-line helmets. And, I’ll tell you what, the Stone Blue Matt and Pistachio Green Matt colors are very handsome.

The new Terrae is NTA-certified, which means that it can dissipate “significantly more impact energy” and is intended to offer additional protection for the needs of ebike riders. MET also claims that the shell of the new Terrae also has more impact-tested coverage around the two most sensitive brain areas: the back and the temples.

The new Terrae is said to be comfortable while feeling very secure on your noggin. And it should, because MET says it’s designed to be stable while riding on rough terrain. It features the Safe-T Heta 360-degree retention system. That means the fit is micrometrical and thus customized to the perimeter of the head. This, in turn, avoids those pressure points of discomfort that some may experience on long rides.
