The shadow of health restrictions has long hung-over international tourism. Several countries cancelled the rest of the entry restrictions only recently. Covid-19 test is no longer required.

The United States dropped its Covid-19 entry restrictions on May 11, thus currently there is no need to certify a complete vaccination schedule to enter the Country of Uncle Sam. On May 9, Chile also joined the growing list of countries abandoning Covid-19 test requirement and restrictions aimed at foreign tourists. Thus, travelers wishing to reach the South American country no longer need to present a negative PCR test or a Coronavirus vaccination certificate.

Before that, on April 1 Hong Kong lifted its Covid restrictions to welcome travelers. On-site, tourists no longer need to wear masks – whether on public transport or in closed public spaces.

European countries have also abandoned all health restrictions they had placed when their borders reopened. The same situation is in Morocco, which removed its last Covid-19 restrictions in September 2022 – except for a “passenger health card,” to be duly completed before arriving in the kingdom.

Whether in Tunisia, Egypt, or Israel, the prevalence of Coronavirus has been on a steady decline for several months.

In Asia, China is an exception. To enter the country, besides valid visa and passport all visitors need to present negative antigen self-test. A proof of vaccination is not required. Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, and Malaysia have all repealed their entry requirements related to Covid-19.
