Most of the major airlines had dropped A380 as too fuel-intensive and environmentally unfriendly aircraft. But now the Airbus A380 is making a comeback: Due to the strong increase in demand for air tickets and the delayed delivery of ordered aircraft, airlines have decided to reactivate the Airbus A380 in 2022, which is particularly appreciated by passengers and crews.

Another important advantage for the airlines' finances is that it is an aircraft that allows for many high-contribution seats in First, Business and Premium Class, while carrying several hundred passengers in Eco Class.

Starting June 1, Germany's Lufthansa will resume regular flight operations with the popular Airbus A380 after a three-year interruption.

Just in time for Independence Day, the U.S. national holiday, A380 comes back with flight number LH410 which will depart daily for New York City to John F. Kennedy International Airport beginning July 4, 2023.

The airline is thus significantly expanding its premium offer at its southern hub, notably with additional seats in business and first class.

With 509 seats, the A380 has about 80% more capacity than the Airbus A340-600 currently in service on the Munich-New York (JFK) route. In total, the A380 offers four classes of travel: 8 seats in First Class, 78 seats in Business Class, 52 seats in Premium Eco and 371 seats in Economy Class.

Emirates will deploy its iconic A380 to Bali from June 1, 2023. This is a milestone in Indonesia's aviation history as it will be the first scheduled A380 flight in the country.

This new Emirates A380 frequency in a two-class configuration replaces one of the two daily services to Bali, currently operated by a Boeing 777-300ER two-class aircraft.

The inaugural Emirates A380 flight EK368 will depart from Dubai International Airport at 03:25 and arrive at Denpasar International Airport at 16:35 local time.

On an Emirates Airbus A380 in a two-class configuration, passengers have 58-bed seats in Business Class and 557 spacious seats in Economy Class.

Like rival Lufthansa, Emirates continues to expand its A380 network to meet the growing demand for travel around the world. The airline's flagship aircraft is currently deployed to 41 destinations, including Dubai, and is expected to expand to nearly 50 destinations by the end of the summer.
